We are excited to announce that our founder, Tony Crisp, will be speaking to entrepreneurial engineering students from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences and the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. This engagement is part of the Beall Butterworth Product Design & Development Competition, scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

About the Beall Butterworth Competition

The Beall Butterworth Product Design & Development Competition is a prestigious annual event that encourages UCI students to develop innovative technologies with commercial potential. The competition comprises two main tracks:

  • Beall Student Design Competition: Focused on engineering solutions, this track invites students to create new technologies or address current design challenges, particularly those involving hardware and devices.
  • Butterworth Product Development Competition: This track centers on information and computer sciences, prompting students to develop software and system-based products with significant market impact.

Over a six-month period, participants engage in workshops and coaching sessions, culminating in a final demo day where industry leaders evaluate their projects. The competition not only fosters innovation but also provides students with practical experience in product development and entrepreneurship.
